Direct Message Webhook Secrets
Used to HMAC-sign outbound deliveries (X-WH-SEC header). Signing always uses the
highest-versioned enabled secret for a client - add a new version, get the client to switch over, then
disable the old one.

Direct Message Request Signature Secrets
Used to verify inbound webhook signatures (X-REQ-SIG header) alongside the client's
API key. A client with no enabled secret here is still accepted unsigned - add a secret once the
client is ready to start signing, and give them the version number along with it.

SMSWallet Revenue & Profit Calculator
Model profit for a period across every revenue and cost line in the wallet
business. All figures are editable — change any input and totals recalculate
automatically.
How money moves: the customer is never charged via
their phone bill — all revenue comes from topping up the wallet by
card (Stripe/PayPal). Sending an inbound SMS costs the
customer nothing and never touches the wallet; it just triggers an operator
to respond. The wallet is only debited when that operator response
goes out. Every message — inbound or outbound, paid or free — still costs us
carrier fees to send/receive, and paid responses also cost operator time.
Top-Up Revenue
Wallet bundles sold to customers in the period, each priced in its own currency — converted to GBP below using live Stripe FX rates. "Credits" is the wallet's internal spending unit the customer receives — later redeemed on outbound messages at the "price per outbound SMS" set in Messaging Costs.

Payment Processing Fees
Deducted by the payment service provider (PSP) on each top-up transaction. Stripe rates are the standard domestic-card rate for the destination country (see stripe.com/pricing) — cross-border card and currency-conversion surcharges aren't modelled. Fees are calculated within each bundle's own currency, then converted to GBP alongside its revenue.

Transactional & System Messages
Free-to-customer service SMS that still cost to send — top-up confirmations and welcome/signup messages. These add to messaging COGS but are never charged to the wallet.

Messaging Costs (COGS)
What it costs us in carrier fees to deliver/receive SMS, always in GBP — separate from the wallet. The wallet is only ever debited for the operator's paid response; inbound is never charged (to the customer or the wallet) — it's just the trigger.
1. Chargeable responses — the wallet debit event
The customer tops up via Stripe/PayPal (Top-Up Revenue), then spends those credits when an operator responds. This is the only point the wallet is charged — divide credits sold by the price per response to get the number of paid responses.

2. Inbound (MO) — costs us to receive, never charged
Each chargeable response is triggered by exactly one inbound message. The customer is never billed for sending it (no phone-bill charge, no wallet deduction) — it only costs us the carrier's per-part fee below.

3. Outbound parts from responses
Each paid response is a long reply, delivered as several concatenated SMS parts — the carrier cost and wallet price above are both per whole response, but carrier billing is per part.
